Service was excellent and the pizza was top notch. We asked for the same cheeses that come on the cheesy bread to top our pizza. Oh my goodness it was tasty. We will definitely be doing that again.
But their food is still great.
Typical sports bar...enjoyed atmosphere at first. Waitress didn't get drinks to guests arriving later. Were told we could watch our college game on one of the TV's...then told they won't play it. Whoever the gentleman was that informed us AFTER the waitress said she checked and said it would be fine was rude and unapologetic. Shame too cause they have great wings...not going back.
They always have had really good pizzas and pastas, as well as a great selection of beers and rotators.
However, they have become more of a franchise now and are no longer the great place that let's you customize your pizzas. Their pizzas are still great, but you won't ever meet the owner there any longer, like you used to be able to years ago, when he would come by your table and introduce himself and ask how everything is.... It is no longer a personal experience from a local restaurant.
Prepare to wait if you go on a Friday or Saturday night. It's worth the wait! For those worried about carbs they will do a no crust pizza if any of their awesome choices.
I suggested Boombozz to my buddy and his wife—we normally order carry-out but decided to dine in....we both brought our kids with us because who doesn’t love pizza!? It was a Friday night, so we expected like any other restaurant for it to be pretty busy but this experience was nothing but odd. We were seated and greeted promptly. Our waitress, Darcy, who was the sweetest and so helpful—took us through the menu and pointed out some seasonal features. We ordered our appetizers—they took a lifetime to get there it seems isn’t this the point of an appetizer? We felt awful for our waitress we kept watching her walk toward the bar to return with no beer apologizing saying they would be right up—what is a bartender for if not making drinks? The pizza was actually pretty tasty but my 4 year old hardly knew because it came out 15 minutes after we all started eating...some waiter just dropped it off as if no issue the food was delayed and to a child. It was strange to watch all the servers run their tales off and have things run so roughly. I am probably more frustrated than I’d normally be because I felt slightly embarrassed taking friends of mine to this place I’d given such credit just to be mostly disappointed. My table service was exceptional.....my waitress was working with what she had and I recommend her if you do visit...thank you for your help Darcy! I will likely give you all another try, need it not be the same experience!!!!!
