By the way, the only positive review he has is from his brother Aaron.
Great guy easy and personal
Absolute scam! I hired Blake to swap an engine. He said it would take 2 weeks. 2 months later he started demanding money to finish the boat. This guy screws something up because of his incompetence and expects you to pay him for trying. Absolute shadiest guy i ever dealt with!!! Stay away, had lawyers involved to get the boat back! He also stole the batteries out of my boat. Had police involved to try to get those back.
** Update - my boat engine was never blown. Blake's incorrect diagnosis caused me to replace a perfectly good engine. It was a gear in the drive that sheered off and locked up the drive, not the engine. I was told this should have been the 1st thing checked. The new shop figured this out in 15 min! I did work out a deal with Blake because there was concern about him starting to damage my boat. No, he did not credit me for my batteries. We agreed on a price before I realized my batteries were stolen. He said he would return them but then said he was not responsible for stolen property. So i doubt he ever had them - probably sold them to someone else) I had to take the boat to a new shop to have it completed. Blake tried to maneuver the engine with a 2x4 and caved in the oil pan. They had to pull the engine out and replace that. He stuck in 2 old broken spark plugs. Essentially every wire was wrong. He used a stack of old washers to make a spacer. Almost ever water hose was missing a hose clamp. He billed me $800 for a computer he said he reprogrammed. It is not reprogrammed. And he knows that because he never started the engine (was never even capable of running due to his shoddy work despite telling me it was running and on the lake). There is not even a dipstick on the engine. Blake says he was $4,000 into labor. He charges $100 per hr. That would mean he has worked 40 hrs on this engine. 3 other shops quoted me 16 hrs to swap the engine. They probably would have checked the drive!!! Blake was at 40 hrs and nowhere near done. He started demanding i pay him for the work he had done up to that point. And then told me I had to start paying him to work on the boat again. I am litterally $10k into fixing a problem that was never there. I am not trying to humiliate him. His actions humiliate him. If i were Blake and conducted my business like this I would be embarrassed and ashamed. I just want people to stay clear of this guy. This guy literally can not quit lying. Yes, i am complaining. Bake had my boat all summer long and lied to me about every aspect of it. Blake's ignorance has cost me $10k. I think I have the right to complain. I have text messages and emails that confirm everything I have said. I would be happy to share them.
