Really great electric bikes, for people that actually like bikes. I have ridden on the big brand Pedego? And really didn't care for them. They were like riding a scooter. These bikes you could barely tell that they were electric, except that you seemed to have acquired Lance Armstrong's legs. David was great. Let you try every bike in the shop to find the one that you loved.
I was astounded at the poor quality of service I reviewed from this dealer.
I bought a Stromer ST1 Limited for over $3200 on Amazon, and it showed an error message after 2 weeks (well within warranty). I contacted Accent (the nearest dealer) and David the owner claimed because I bought it off Amazon it was a blackmarket product. I told him if that was true I would return it and buy another one- big mistake. I contacted Amazon and the bike manufacturer, and both told me David was incorrect and that it was warranted, yet he still refused to acknowledge its warranty, and rudely refused to verify it with Stromer. He complained about his contract with the bike manufacturer and about how he could not match online merchants price. He was 200% unprofessional. He called and emailed me at various times throughout the day to try to persuade me to return my bike to Amazon and one from him, and even suggested keeping the $800 battery “for my hassle” (even though it was him hassling me). It took me personally calling their corporate headquarters and complaining about him, and then them contacting him for him to acknowledge my bikes warranty.
Great sevice received from David. Limited store hours but always called back in a prompt manner. Great location right in the Monon trail!
We finally got an appointment scheduled and he won't send me the paperwork he wants me to fill out beforehand, even though I told him I won't have any extra time. He is very difficult to work with.
Saw a small ad in the Current regarding Accent and their electric bikes. David Tortora and his wife (locally owned) were most helpful in helping me select the proper bike for my age (pushing 80) and back issue (spinal stenosis). Frankly, I had given up biking for that reason until they demonstrated how easy it was with the battery assist. I had no intention of buying a bike that day until they allowed me to "test drive" it in the parking lot. I bought it that day and David delivered to my house (followed me home), I gave him a check and I now ride every day (weather permitting) for a minimum of and hour. I use all of the trails , including the Monon, with no issues. Go buy one.....it can be "life-changing" and a healthy fun way to get the exercise one needs, along with enjoying the sunshine and beauty of the great trails that are available.
