This place really needs to get its act together. I went in to buy two video cards and two memory cards. Pretty standard, run-of-the-mill items for a store like this. They had only one of each in stock. Wanted me to go to two different stores to get a second of each item. Not having items stocked when you are a brick-and-mortar store just erases any potential advantage you have over online shopping options.
Best Buy is one of the great examples of why retail is dying. What they used to specialize in, they don't anymore. Their less than trained monkeys only know how to follow out of the box instructions and have no idea about what it is they are actually doing. Case and point, I wanted to get an amp bypass done to my truck because the stock stereo is awful. They won't do it. Literally the only thing I need done is new speaker wires run. Nope, apparently it's above their skill level. They used to have MECP certified techs in the install bay that could do darn near anything. Now, they just have some high school flunky that just reads the directions from the box. No more car audio at best buy, no more appliances. I guess the only things you can buy there are macs and iphones. I fear the end of best buy may be coming soon, because the stores are empty, and they are dropping product.
I had a great experience at Best Buy. I went for an open box product. Bottom line, there was going to be difficulty in getting the item delivered to my daughter's address. After discussion, I came away with a newer, better product then I had gone to get. The newer, better product was very, very slightly higher in price than the lesser quality/older model. The manager and the sales person worked very hard to provide extraordinary customer service.
Laziest management ever. They offer their staff zero support. Sales staff is unmotivated. The few good employees end up overworked and unavailable while the rest of the staff does nothing. Poorest management I have ever seen. Management does not step in to resolve issues. Managers unwilling to assist staff or problem solve. Managers are regularly unavailable to staff. Go to literally any other store. Good luck finding a manager around here that actually does something.
In and out very fast. Had what I was there for. Had options. Helpful employees.
