I wrote an honest, one-star review on Facebook & was attacked by her "supporters". One left the hashtag #youareanutjob It was then I put some pieces together to explain her flip/flop treatment of me. It was my third visit that she turned on me. The first two visits I saw the Dr. Shrout everyone raves about in their reviews. She was professional, caring, & pleasant. But not that day.
If you are considering a visit to Shrout Family Chiropractic, be warned that things aren't always what they appear. Catholics don't always behave like christians and malicious gossiping is a akin to Adult Bullying.
Be a Good Example.
Unbelievably, Dr. Shrout called a friend at the Carmel Police Department who then came to MY HOME (in a marked Police Car, but out of uniform) to bully me for writing a review and sending an email. I talked to a lawyer & although morally & ethically wrong, not against the law. Although I believe it was a HIPAA violation giving the police officer my home address from my medical file & am investigating my options.
If you want a chance at living my nightmare or if you want police at your door for writing an honest, but damning review go ahead & take your chances, but beware of the wolf in sheep's clothing.
Be a good Christian.
She told me one leg was shorter than the other, didn't perform one adjustment, but wanted my money?
We have been with Dr. Shrout Family Chiropractic ever since they started their practice. They are kind, professional, caring and helpful! We love their office stuffs and they are always eager to help.

Shrout Family Chiropractic is a wonderful, family friendly business. The staff are very knowledgeable and take a genuine interest in figuring out if part of your daily lifestyle could be contributing to your discomfort. I appreciate that they offer a reasonably priced "cash only" option for appointments in case your insurance wouldn't cover the treatments.
I have been a patient of Dr. Melissa Shrout for years. She is a caring, compassionate professional who has quite literally on more than one occasion changed my life. Her treatments have taken me from hunched over and barely able to walk to standing up straight and comfortable walking.
Great Chiropractic care for both problems and maintenance. I go from time to time, but my whole family goes often just to keep things well adjusted. Melissa and Derek are both great!
I responded & sent an email asking Dr. Shrout if she'd like me to make an appointment so she could abuse, slander, & disrespect me more & she flew out of control...

I was treated very poorly by Dr. Melissa Shrout. It seems Dr. Shrout participated in unchristian gossiping that assassinated my character. Then? She allowed me to come in so she could mistreat me & charge me for it.
He had a ridiculous stack of papers in his hand & asked me what they were? I was angry & told him I had no idea since I wrote only one review & sent one email. I had no idea what the stack of twenty papers were, but knew full well it's not illegal (against the law) to write an honest, unflattering review or send an email.

Stop Gossip & Gossiping with YOU.
But most importantly to ME? she has no idea how very wrong she was/is to believe whatever hateful things she heard about me. I AM what I appear...Intelligent, kind, playful, creative, & warm.
I told him to leave or I was going to file Harassment Charges against Dr. Shrout.
Dr. Melissa knows her stuff and is an important part of my personal healthcare team.
