Suya, the owner of Brides of Carmel is absolutely amazing and beyond talented in her ability. The store has an extensive collection of designer, high end dresses that you will not find in any other Indianapolis area store. However, I only had to try on two of them to find the dress of my dreams! Within five minutes of meeting me, and looking at my body type, Suya selected an Alyne gown for me that was breathtaking! I am still beyond amazed at her ability to capture what features would be best for me to accentuate, and find a gown that was perfect! From there the process was seamless. I can't tell you enough how nice it was to have contact with the same person throughout the ordering and fittings. Suya's alteration abilities only continued to amaze me. Every stitch of my dress was perfect. After watching so many friends over the years tug and pull at their dresses I was amazing at how excellently my dress fit. I would absolutely recommend this dress shop to anyone, in fact I already have!
I had a wonderful experience with Brides of Carmel. I made a terrible decision and bought a dress online and it was not right for me. Suya stayed open for me after hours to come and see if I could find something very close to my wedding date. I came in and without even measuring me, she had found my dress. I tried on 2 dresses and fell in love with the 2nd dress, I did not look any further. It fit perfect and it was off the rack. She gave me great service when she altered it and made it very convenient for my schedule. I would recommend Brides of Carmel over ANY bridal superstore, it was a relaxed atmosphere and I was very pleased with my experience!
She did an awesome job both altering my wedding dress (a huge job where the lace had to be carefully unattached from the bottom and moved 5 inches up) and a bridesmaid dress for a friend's wedding. Very meticulous and friendly and VERY reasonably priced!
I have had very good experiences at Brides of Carmel! They have a wide variety of dresses, and because of the sizes of the floor samples (I am usually a size 6-8, which in European sizing is about a 12) I was able to try on every dress that I wanted to and imagine exactly how it would look after slight alterations. I would highly suggest this store!
I have to be honest. The selection in this store is very poor. The only reason I picked this boutique is because of all of the wonderful reviews. The store itself is absolutely gorgeous and in a great location, but the dresses are mostly size 14 and more old fashioned. If you are a size 8 or smaller, I would skip this store entirely because it would be nearly impossible to imagine the dress in your size with such large samples. Customer service is great... The dresses just need some life.
